The role of a nonprofit treasurer is crucial to the financial health and integrity of the organization. We have designed a Certification for Board Treasurers that prepares Treasurers to lead Governance focused organizations.
This Certificate program will equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge needed to manage finances effectively.
Key topics include budgeting, financial reporting, compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and strategic financial planning.
Participants will learn how to maintain accurate financial records, develop transparent financial policies, and ensure accountability to donors and stakeholders. By the end of this program, treasurers will be prepared to confidently oversee the organization’s financial operations and contribute to its mission-driven success.
To receive this certificiation, individuals must complete the following:
a)Apply to be in the Certification program
b) Complete the following five courses in 120 days or demonstrate sufficient knowledge of the following areas: :
From Zero to Finance Hero: Your Introduction to Financial Statements
Work it Baby: Financial Statement Analysis
Fundamentals for Non-Profit Treasurers
This is approximately 10 hours of learning.
c) Complete the Personal Experience Profile
d) Be Currently on a Board of Directors or Planning to Be on a Board in the near future in the Treasurer capacity.
